The 2 pick from Friday have certainly done well so far.

Sandisk (SNDK:NASDAQ) $9.23 + $1.15 on 12,637,592 shares. Management pulled a "Jerry Wang" at Yahoo by turning down a $26 deal from *******. Toshiba passed at an offer. I would not be surprised to see ******* come back with a lower offer in the future. I like the January $5.00 Calls (SWQAR) currently at $4.35-4.50 or the April $5.00 Calls (SWQDR) at $4.80-5.10. You could also look at the April $6.00 Calls (SWQDF) at 4.15-4.45.

Manitowoc (MTW:NYSE) $7.45 + 0.81 on 4,526,722 shares. This is a company in the Bargain Bin. In October the company concluded the takeover of Enodis PLC for $2.7 billion and at the current price of $7.45 the market cap is $865 million. I would not be surprised to see someone bid for this company. The stock is down from $50.The January $5.00 Calls (MTWAS) are $2.60-2.80 and the March $5.00 Calls (MTWCS) are $2.85-3.20.

I am putting together a list of badly beaten down stocks for a rebound in 2009. I will release those picks either before the open or intraday so monitor your updates intraday.

Advanced Medical Isotopes (ADMD:PINK) $0.51. Things have been quiet as we are waiting for comments from NASD on the OTCBB listing. What I have heard from several people in the ADMD shareholder group from Kennewick is that the company has been approached by a group that would make an investment in the company and also get involved in the open market. That is exactly what we need at this time. I think any amount of volume would see the stock move a lot higher. At the close Friday there were the following offers: $0.52, 2@0.55, 0.70, 0.85 and 1.00. For the next day or two, I think the play is to start raising the bid until you see some volume. If there is no selling then pick at the offers under $0.60. I don't think there will be too much stock for sale.
