I really want to get involved in property management and eventually into renting my own offices/apartments, but I'm really not sure how to get started.

in order to enter into property management to have to study it.it is not piece of cake man must attach with some property dealer than you will learn it.

Most firms want someone with property management experience. It’s a ton of work from collecting rent, repairs, accounting, dealing with vendors etc. You should find an entry level position first such as assistant superintendent.

I am a beginning investor myself. I started by working in several different types of apartment communities. Have you ever been in the field of leasing apartments? If not, then you can usually find jobs on careerbuilder.com for property management positions. It's harder to get right into being the property manager unless you've had some sort of sales background prior and it's for a private landlord. You should educate yourself on all the aspects of real estate, even real estate law. When you get into doing your own properties, look into LLC's, trusts..etc.
